Pallotte cac’e ove
|I learned from my family tradition to never throw away anything; so these pallotte cac’e ove are prepared using all the cheese I can find in my refrigerator…
Ingredients:
300gr. of mixed cheese
2 slides of ricotta sheep cheese
2 eggs
2 slices of stale bread
Sulmona red garlic
parsley and onion
tomato and green pepper
Directions Grate the cheese and put it into a pan togheter with eggs, bread soaked and squeezed, a clove of garlic and the parsley. You need to get a mixture normally solid; use it to form the polpette; roll them onto bread crumbs, and then dip fry them in extra vergin olive oil.
Pour the olive oil in a pan, add the minced onion add the tomato and a piece of green pepper and pan fry; go on for at least 10 minutes and than add the polpette and let them cook for 30 minutes.
